Phnom Penh’s most anticipated Mixed Use Development, Global Tech Exchange (GTECH) is officially open for leasing beginning April 1st, offering grade A offices and retail spaces, and also houses the country’s first Hilton Hotel.
Speaking to Cambodia Investment Review, the lead leasing agent Knight Frankbelieves that GTECH is a unique project, not just in Cambodia but in most major cities, globally.
Phnom Penh’s newest hospitality, business and retail hub
Designed by AEDAS, the mixed-use development consists of two Grade A office towers, a hotel tower with a convention centre; and a dedicated data center. GTECH is set to become a modern icon and a landmark within the urban fabric.
Working collectively with the wider Phnom Penh City Center, GTECH will create opportunities for the cosmopolitan bustle to bloom in Phnom Penh, bringing in sleek new modern energy to complement Phnom Penh’s traditional cultural charm.
With a trio of towers ranging from 26 to 30 storeys, GTECH will be carving an iconic silhouette in the Phnom Penh City Skyline.
Knight Frank’s Country Head Ross Wheble commented: “To have a dedicated data centre attached to the project in the heart of the central business district truly distinguishes GTECH from its competitors in Phnom Penh. Additionally, the project offers green open spaces and food & beverage outlets at the 7th floor podium level which is another unique selling point.”
Hilton Hotel comes to Cambodia
Cambodia has been identified as a destination that is on a growth trajectory, with global businesses establishing a presence in the capital city and the government investing into its infrastructure to boost its tourism appeal.
In response, Hilton Hotels will be launching its first hotel in the Kingdom located in the GTECH development. The world-class hotel chain’s Cambodian expansion will be part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 17 distinct hotel brands.
Located in the prime central business district area, the Hilton Phnom Penh will consist of 280 rooms spread across 15 floors, rooftop dining, an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a cafe and bar.
Wheble added, ‘Securing Hilton Hotel to manage the hotel component within the project is testament to the high standard of architectural design, its prominent CBD location and the overall quality and market positioning of GTECH. It is also a positive sign for the hospitality sector in Phnom Penh as another world-renowned luxury hotel operator enters the market that will also include a convention centre – another selling point for the project.’
"To say that we are excited to be working on this project would be a major understatement. This will be Phnom Penh and Cambodia’s flagship project for years to come, and Knight Frank has been appointed as the Lead Leasing Agent for the office and retail space as well as the property manager for GTECH. This is our priority focus and we have absolutely no doubt that GTECH will become one of Phnom Penh’s most desirable commercial addresses."
