CBRE Hong Kong announced that the company acted as strategic leasing partner for IWG (International Workplace Group) on securing their new space in The Quayside for the entire 5/F, Tower 1 & Tower 2 (50,000 s.f.) to expand their footprint in Kowloon East, Hong Kong.
IWG will be operating the new centre under the brand Signature, which will be their third centre under the Signature brand in Hong Kong.
“Amidst rapidly changing market conditions, companies of all sizes are leveraging the advantages of flexible space as a way to manage their operational costs, improve flexibility and drive employee engagement by embracing more agile ways of working”, said Alan Lok, Executive Director, Advisory and Transaction Services – Office. “CBRE is delighted to have helped IWG meet its expansion needs and business objectives by securing desirable spaces in a high-spec and premium quality A-Grade office like The Quayside in the heart of CBD2 in Hong Kong.”
“We continue to see a wide variety of companies in Hong Kong and across the region accelerating their hybrid workplace approach as a result of the pandemic,” said Mark Dixon, Founder and CEO of IWG. “We are very excited about this new Signature location in Kowloon East, which will enable us to continue supporting visionary companies in rethinking their real estate strategies.”
IWG provides a global network of workplaces for a wide range of businesses – from home-based workers to corporations. In addition to its latest location at The Quayside, Signature by Regus has two other branches in the Gateway and Hysan Place. The new Signature centre is due to open in May 2021.
This latest transaction is the 15th deal that CBRE has closed with IWG since 2016, amounting to a total of about 400,000 s.f. in Hong Kong, including new letting and renewal projects.
