JLL has appointed Mike Pyke, former MA Financial head of Institutional Capital, as Co-Head of Equity Advisory for Australia and New Zealand, working alongside Luke Prokuda (Co-Head of Equity Advisory) to enhance JLL's Equity Advisory team.
JLL has appointed Mike Pyke as JLL’s Co-Head of Equity Advisory in Australia and New Zealand.
Head of Capital Markets - Australia and New Zealand, Luke Billiau said Mike will work alongside long-term leader Luke Prokuda (Co-Head of Equity Advisory) to further strengthen the expertise and capability of our market-leading Equity Advisory team.
Mike spent eleven years at MA Financial (formerly Moelis), with six of those years in the group’s investment banking business and the corporate executive group. During this time, he was responsible for leading the IPO of MA Financial, corporate strategy and IR. More recently, Mike was the Head of Institutional Capital for MA Financial’s asset management business where he was responsible for raising institutional capital across the group’s real estate, credit and private equity strategies.
Mr Prokuda has lauded the appointment of Mike, highlighting his extensive expertise in capital raising and global coverage. “By joining the team, Mike will not only strengthen our strategic capital solutions in the Australian and New Zealand markets but also enhance our existing capabilities of the team,” he said.
Since launching the Equity Advisory business, JLL has closed over A$7bn of transactions across fund recapitalisations, joint ventures, platform sales and programmatic partnerships. The team have been involved in some of the country’s leading transactions including the sale of the Student One platform to Blackstone for more than $500m and the formation of HMC Capital’s A$1bn unlisted healthcare and life sciences venture.
Mr Billiau said, “We will continue to invest in our platform to ensure we can provide complete capital solutions to our clients, with the ability to leverage dominant sector experience.”
Mr Pyke has a Master of Commerce (Finance Major) from the University of Sydney and completed the McKinsey & Company ANZ Executive Leadership Program in 2020.
