CBRE announced today that Tom Gaffney will be promoted to President of the North Asia Advisory business on January 1, 2024. At that time, he will succeed Ben Duncan, who will become Chair of North Asia, which covers mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau, Taiwan and Korea.

“Tom is the ideal person to lead our North Asia Advisory business. Our Advisory business in Hong Kong has grown significantly since he took over leadership in 2016. He is highly regarded by our people and our clients throughout the Asia commercial real estate market, where he has worked for 21 years in a variety of client-service and leadership capacities,” said Chris Kirk, Global Chief Operating Officer, Advisory Services, CBRE.
“Ben has been a great leader of our North Asia Advisory business for the past nine years, presiding over significant growth and our evolution into the regional market leader,” Mr. Kirk added.
As Regional Managing Director, Hong Kong, Mr. Gaffney has led CBRE’s Advisory business in the market since 2016. Since then, he has built a solid real estate advisory business with a leading market share in many key areas in the Hong Kong market.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Gaffney served in a wide range of executive positions in commercial real estate investment, transactions and advisory services in Asia.
