CBRE announced today that industry veteran Noboru Hirabayashi has joined as Head of CBRE Capital Advisors, Japan.
Mr. Hirabayashi has more than 20 years of experience in finance, sales, and real estate investment banking, and specializes in advising cross-border capital. Based in Tokyo, he will lead equity and debt placement for Japanese institutions investing abroad, as well as for capital investing in Japan.
Mr. Hirabayashi complements CBRE’s Capital Markets professionals in Japan that was the country’s top- ranked firm for real estate investment sales activity during 2021, according to RCA.

Mr. Hirabayashi joins CBRE from Diamond Realty Management, a real estate investment management arm of Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), where he specialized in cross-border real estate investments, spending time in the United States and Japan. He was most recently a Managing Director at one of MC’s affiliates in Los Angeles where he led new ventures for the firm and launched multiple equity and debt funds in the U.S. for Japanese institutions. Prior to that, he led the development of joint-ventures and investment management programs at GE Capital Real Estate.
