Leading diversified professional services and investment management firm Colliers has announced the appointments of John Davies and Terry Shum to strengthen the industrial leasing business in Kowloon and the New Territories. 

John has been appointed as Executive Director, Office Services | Hong Kong, and Terry has been appointed as Director, Office Services | Hong Kong.

John joins the business with more than 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate in Hong Kong, including both office leasing and investment transaction expertise. He brings with him detailed knowledge of the property landscape, especially in Kowloon and the New Territories, and is tasked with bolstering Colliers’ Office Services business line in those districts and growing Colliers’ Industrial sector capability.

Having earned his reputation as a leading broker in Kowloon, John has spent the last eight years strengthening his offering by working in the investment sector. This has given him a unique skillset that positions him to advise clients on the best real estate strategy, whether it be relocation, consolidation, or expansion through lease or owner-occupier options.

This industry-leading acquisition also includes his first hire as he brings on board Terry Shum, another seasoned veteran who has more than 20 years’ experience working with local, multinational, and Mainland Chinese businesses in Kowloon. After graduating from the University of Hong Kong with an honours degree in surveying and a master’s degree in urban planning, Terry has become a Kowloon office leasing specialist who has principal knowledge of the sector. He will work directly with John to grow the business’s market share with both tenants and landlords. John and Terry’s appointments solidify Colliers’ commitment to accelerating growth and attracting expert talent.
