Mr. Yan will report directly to Tom Gaffney, Regional Managing Director, CBRE Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong and matrix report to Alan Li, President, CBRE China. 

Mr. Yan joins CBRE with more than 13 years of experience in property investment. In his role, he will be responsible for the Capital Markets business for CBRE in Hong Kong and lead a team of consultants in delivering world class investment solutions to clients. His most recent role was with Colliers International Hong Kong as Executive Director of Capital Markets and Investment Services, where he led a team to provide consultancy services on investment property acquisitions and disposals in Hong Kong.

Mr. Yan started his career in real estate as a valuation surveyor, and progressively moved into property investment space at Colliers, rising as one of the top deal makers in the industry. Some of his recently completed major transactions include the en bloc disposals of Bonham Circus in Sheung Wan, Zing! in Causeway Bay and 410 Kwun Tong Road in Kowloon East. 

Mr. Yan is a Fellow Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Earlier in his career, he was named Young Surveyor of the Year (then Young Achiever of the Year) by RICS Hong Kong Awards in 2013 in recognition of his contribution to the profession.
