Hong Kong-listed development company Country Garden Holdings has seen its revenue increase by more than 30 per cent from the previous year, thanks to a project in Sydney's north west.
A $550 million residential project in the Sydney suburb of Ryde, its first project outside of Asia, has helped Hong Kong-listed development company Country Garden Holdings Company Limited increase their revenue by more than 30 per cent. The group reports a 34.8 per cent jump in revenue from the previous year to 17.70 billion for 2014.
The Chinese company was founded in 1992 and is based in Guangdong Province. It is owned by Yeung Kwok Keung and his family, and is involved in property development, construction, fitting and decoration, property management, and hotel operation.
Ryde Garden was launched in 2014 and is expected to be complete in mid-2017. Contract sales for the project have been healthy, and the cash collection of these contracted sales reached approximately 22.26 billion.
Last year, Country Garden also launched 77 new projects, mostly outside of Guangdong Province in China.
