A summary of the findings are as follows:

Unsold units in Cha-Am, Hua Hin and Pranburi areas are the major concern of developers.

• Approximately 9,000 houses and condominium units are still available in the market.
• Some condominium projects are facing trouble after a few investors are doing not want to transfer their units.

Some developers postponed launching new projects in 2015.

• Developers are more concerned with the demand situation, so most held off on launching their new projects in 2015.
• Only 1,928 condominiums and houses were launched in 2015.

The average take-up rate of both condominiums and houses still continues to grow.

• Approximately 74% of all houses were sold, a slight increase from the previous year.
• The average take-up rate in the condominium market was approximately 72%; many units were launched in 2015 and this affected the average take-up rate.
• The demand in 2015 declined and will not dramatically improve in 2016.

The average price in the condominium and house markets in 2015 only increased 3 - 5% from 2014.

• Developers are trying to attract more buyers during the market slowdown by keeping the same selling prices or increasing them only slightly.
• Some condominium developers are also facing a transfer issue, so are discounting their units for all ready to transfer buyers.

Some large-scale projects in Cha-Am and Hua Hin are probably creating interest.

• Some water parks and shopping malls are adding more interest to the area.
• Some new infrastructure projects by the government, such as the Bangkok – Hua Hin high-speed train and the new ferry pier for services on the Pattaya-Pranburi route also add interest in the long term
