Laurelcap Sdn Bhd appoints Alan Poon as Associate Director in the Industrial Technology Division.

Alan Poon is roped in as Associate Director to lead the newly setup Industrial Technology Division and assist Laurelcap Group in developing latest technological innovations for adoption in the tech- driven real estate industry as part of its digital transformation direction.

Laurelcap Group is a full fledge professional international real estate consultancy firm providing valuation, estate agency, property management, project management and real estate consultancy services. Established since 2008 in Selangor, the Laurelcap Group has spread its wings and opened local and international branches, including various key cities in Peninsula Malaysia, East Malaysia and China.

Alan Poon said it was an exciting time to be part of LaurelCap as today’s technological climate revolutionised real estate services and solutions. "I am thrilled to lead such an enterprising division that matches the direction of the global tech-driven businesses, given the significant opportunity we are seeing in Malaysia's real estate market” he said.

Alan brings with him more than 15 years of experience in investment strategies, introducing breakthrough trainings and has provided consultancy for various companies to help boost their marketing strategies through events, in the evolving real estate landscape. He is a luminary author, in the Malaysia Book of Records, being the “First Author to Launch 3Books Simultaneously” on tenant management. For his contribution to the real estate education sector, he was appointed into the Industrial Advisory Panel (IAP) for Graduate School of Business, SEGi University in 2019 and Board of Studies for UCSI College-OxfordBrookes University, Business Degree Programmes in 2021.

Alan Poon is a Registered Technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT) and a Corporate Member of the Technological Association of Malaysia (MTAM). He holds a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaya.
