CBRE (Japan Headquarters: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) was appointed by pharmaceutical company Fuji Yakuhin Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Fuji Yakuhin) to project manage their new Tokyo headquarters. As a result of the project, in May 2020, Fuji Yakuin established their new base on the 9th floor of KANDA SQUARE, a state-of-the-art office building completed in February of the same year.
CBRE's Project Management team were involved from the planning stage and managed the overall cost, scheduling, and liaison with the construction companies.

Hisayoshi Matoba, Manager of the Fuji Yakuhin Store Development Department, who oversaw this project, said, "In order to develop and expand our business as a multi-purpose pharmaceutical company, our goal was to further enhance our brand, communication capabilities, and ability to secure excellent human talent. With the launch of the new Tokyo Headquarters, we were tasked with building a comfortable workspace where employees can work with energy and enthusiasm, and a space that improved communication with customers. As we saw our new headquarters as the future model office, we implemented numerous IT tools and gave significant consideration to not only hardware such as furniture and equipment, but also, software for efficient operation. The project was complex and it would not have been possible to achieve without CBRE's full support and close teamwork. Thanks to CBRE, we were able to build the office space we envisioned, and for that I am very grateful."
Shizuka Miwa, project manager of the CBRE Project Management Department, said, "I was involved in the Fuji Yakuhin's headquarters project from the very start and it was a great pleasure to support the office construction, bringing to life the vision of the 12 Fuji Yakuhin project members. Since the relocation involved them moving from their own office building in Omiya to a newly leased property in Kanda, the employees had a lot of expectations and concerns. To address this, we supported the creation of an office manual that included information on visitor management and instructions on how to use the new tools. Thanks to this we believe the relocation went smoothly. In the future, we hope to continue supporting clients with their relocation not only in a budgeting and scheduling capacity, but also providing additional services that are aligned with their business strategy
