Vacuum designer James Dyson is the new owner of a triplex condo in Singapore’s tallest tower The Tanjong Pagar Centre. The penthouse was sold by List Sotheby’s International Realty Singapore.
According to property records Dyson, 72, the inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaner and his wife, Dierdre Dyson, finalised the purchase on June 20, according to a title transfer filed with the Singapore Land Authority.
News of the sale appeared in the Singapore’s Business Times, which reported that the couple paid S$73.8 million for the penthouse which was developed by GuocoLand and listed with Sotheby’s International Realty.

The Tanjong Pagar Centre, is Singapore’s tallest building sitting at 290m high and boasted as the height of luxury at the Wallich Residences. It starts on the 62nd floor and accompanied by five bedrooms, private garden and viewing deck.
Taking up the top three floors, the so-called “super penthouse” is the highest residence in Singapore, with sweeping prices to match. The apartment was the most expensive home on the market in the city-state when it was listed in 2017 for S$108 million (US$79.5 million).
Tanjong Pagar Centre is located in the heart of Singapore’s CBD, with 181 exclusive residences located from the 39th to 64th floors, Wallich Residence has redefined the definition of a modern penthouse.
