Colliers International has been brought in to provide leasing and tenancy services for an upcoming mixed development on Upper Serangoon Road, and an Orchard Link lifestyle venue.
Colliers International is set to expand its Singapore real estate services business after being appointed to manage two prominent addresses.
The global firm will provide leasing and tenancy services for upcoming mixed development Stars of Kovan on Upper Serangoon Road, and Orchard Link lifestyle venue *SCAPE.
Real Estate Services Executive Director Tang Chee Charn said the company planned to drive footfall and elevate the customer experience at each of the sites, while also injecting vibrancy to the commercial spaces.
"The retail property sector is one of the focus areas for our business growth as retailing becomes increasingly more competitive, differentiated, and customer-centric," he said.
"We expect there to be an increase in demand for bespoke strategy to enhance customer experience, maintain shopper traffic, retain and attract tenants, and integrate new technologies to transform the overall retail offering."
Comprising of 395 residential units and 46 retail shops, Stars of Kovan is being developed through Property Enterprises Development, which is a member of the CK Assets Group.
The planned shopping atrium is expected to obtain its Temporary Occupation Permit in the second quarter of 2019, with the majority of the commercial spaces to be retail and takeaway food shops.
PED Singapore Director Francis Wong said the appointment of Colliers International was part of a targeted strategy for the strata-retail space.
"PED will be undertaking an innovative leasing approach for a strata-titled mall in that we are playing an active role in curating the retail offerings," she said

"By leveraging Colliers market-leading professional retail experience, and outstanding perspective on local markets and global trends, we strongly believe the best tenant mix will maximise the value and quality of the shops' owners."
It will more about rejuvination than retail strategy at *SCAPE, where Colliers has been appointed to boost the venue's position as a youth hub destination.
Located in the heart of the Orchard Road shopping precinct, *SCAPE was established in 2007 in response to a call for more community and recreational spaces where youths can socialise.
Colliers International Real Estate Management Director Andy Oon said managing the site's lease portfolio was about making sure it reflected modern youth culture.
"The highly tech-savvy millennial consumers today are hungry for new experiences," he said.
"They embrace digital connectivity, value authenticity, and appreciate well-designed communal spaces.
"Retailers and landlords will have to similarly evolve and update their strategy to appeal to this group of customers."
