Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) has appointed Shelley Boland as Global Head of Property. 

Shelley succeeds Denis McGowan, who has retired after 14 years in the Bank. 

Since joining Standard Chartered in 2015, Shelley has held a series of increasingly senior positions in the Property function with a strong track record in developing and executing property strategies to further the business. 

Shelley joined as Global Head of Workplace, and was then appointed to lead the Property function for the Greater China North Asia region, and subsequently the Asia Pacific region. 

She has also assumed additional responsibility as Head of Property for Consumer, Private and Business Banking (CPBB), which combines the real estate needs of the retail and private banking group as well as wealth management locations for SCB. 

Prior to Standard Chartered, Shelley has also served in similar roles as the Head of Corporate Real Estate and Business Services of Americas, Australia & New Zealand and Asia Pacific in Macquarie Group.

As a result of this promotion, Shelley relocated from Hong Kong to Singapore in January 2023.
