InterContinental Hotels Group will debut its luxury boutique brand, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, in Thailand's capital this October with the opening of Kimpton Bangkok Maa-Lai.
Thailand will have its first taste of InterContinental Hotels Group's boutique Kimpton brand this October with the opening of a new venue in Bangkok.
Comprising 362 rooms, including 131 serviced residences, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok will be the first hotel in South East Asia for the brand, providing convenient access to the city’s prime districts including Sukhumvit, Silom, Siam and Chidlom from its position at the heart of the Langsuan area, next to Lumpini Park.
Founded in 1981 by Bill Kimpton, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has since built a reputation on providing luxury boutique accommodation in the US, delivering distinctive, design-driven hotels and award-winning restaurant and bar destinations.

According to IHG, the Kimpton ethos is built on enabling heartfelt human connections, brought to life through its personalised service style and touches such as Wine Hour, a hosted nightly wine hour for guests to gather and connect.
Guests can look forward to a diverse offering of food and beverage at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok starting with CRAFT, the all-day lobby bar serving up crafted brews including specialty coffees, craft beers and coffee cocktails.

Bar.Yard is a modern day-to-night urban rooftop garden and bar inspired by nostalgic backyard barbecue, while the hotel will also incorporate grocerant Stock.Room, and Ms. Jigger, a narrative-led cocktail bar.
The brand is set to continue its momentum of openings with over 30 new hotels in exciting destinations including Bali and Paris in April 2021, and Hong Kong and in Malaysia in 2023.
