The American Chamber of Commerce Myanmar and the US Commercial Service staged a Business Mission in Mandalay recently to work on expanding ties between the two countries.
Mandalay welcomed representatives from the United States at the beginning of February as part of a Business Mission.
Organised through the American Chamber of Commerce Myanmar, in conjunction with the U.S. Commercial Service, 13 companies from the US and the region gathered to explore business opportunities and work on expanding ties between the two countries.
Delegates enjoyed a private briefing with the U.S. Ambassador and AMCHAM Executive Director Tatum Albertine, government meetings, meetings with MRCCI, a reception hosted by Ambassador Marciel and a showcase to discuss business opportunities.
Colliers International Myanmar was among the companies invited to the Mission, with representatives, Joan Mae Lee and Hpone Myint Thu providing insights as well as updates on the real estate market.
In a statement, the firm said it was "honoured" to have been included in the event.
"We were humbled by the keen interest Mandalay Region Government, Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI), local business entities and attendees showed during the meetings held in Mandalay," it said.
"We look forward to working with all the stakeholders in accelerating growth across the country."
