Norwegian Embassy Complex in Nepal designed by Kristin Jarmund Architects was built on a site overlooking Kathmandu valley in Nepal.
From the Embassy you have views to the Himalayan mountain range.
Kristin Jarmund Architects used the slope of the site to integrate the Embassy with its surroundings using multiple levels of outdoor spaces.
The Ambassador’s office has been "accented by a dynamic zigzag panoramic window, which footprint makes a tribute to and reflects the Himalayas" write the architects.
Local materials were used to construct the Embassy.
Completed in 2012 by local labourers, Kristin Jarmund Architects wanted the building to integrate with local developments, area and environment.
