April 27th welcomed the start of construction and traditional Japanese project blessing for SKYE Niseko, a true Ski in Ski out condominium/hotel located at the top of the Hirafu Village.

A team of dedicated developers and countless helpers have worked long and hard in the planning of SKYE, and they are thrilled to make this prime ski-in ski-out hotel a reality. 

This year the main focus of work will be on the building foundations/piling and onsen renewal. The core of the construction will begin in 2017 with handover for the lucky new owners taking place in August 2018.

SKYE Niseko sales boomed over the 2015/16 winter, and this trend continued throughout the spring into summer. Craig Miekle of Niseko Realty, explains that "the strong sales can be attributed to SKYE's unrivalled location, high level of finishing materials chosen and buyers realizing this ski in ski out location will be hard to beat resulting in an exceptionally strong Niseko investment."

45 units sold in the first winter of sales, including one of SKYE Niseko's stunning Penthouses. Moving into summer sales remain steady. Two winters remain before handover and with current demand Niseko Realty expects to sell out the project during the 2016/17 winter season.

Craig also told us that, "due to the strong demand for 2 bedroom units facing Mt Yotei, the developers decided to split the 4 bedroom Y07-09 series in the Yotei building".

"The result is the ingenious Y07 series, offering a 2-bedroom unit with both ski hill and Yotei views. The Y08 & Y09 series are now stunning studio's that boast direct Mt Yotei views. Niseko Realty have already sold four of these apartments since the announcement of this clever alteration".
