Indonesian banks will only lend money to buyers that have 'hak milik' title over their property, in order for the bank to be able to use the property as collateral. Indonesian banks will not lend money to owners that only have 'hak pakai' status for their property.
Therefore, foreigners generally are not able to get loans to purchase property in Indonesia.
The normal term of housing loans in Indonesia is five years.
